Why did you choose your instrument / Pourquoi avez-vous choisi cet instrument ?
I played violin for 6 years and before trying the oboe I had tried the trombone and the cello. It wasn't until my youth orchestra where I heard the oboe played by a very talented oboist. After seeing how many solos he got to play and how easy it looked I thought about how much I would love to play it.

What are your professional goals? / Décrivez quelques-unes de vos ambitions professionnelles.
I would love to play in a professional orchestra and participate in chamber music and contemporary music ensembles. Along with playing I would enjoy teaching.

How do you feel you will benefit from participation in NYO Canada? / Comment pensez-vous que votre participation à NYO Canada puisse vous aider?
I will benefit from hours of orchestral playing every day for two and a half months and the experience alone will be such a growing one.

What are your interests outside classical music / Avez-vous d’autres intérêts à part la musique classique ?
I love watching foreign films listening to non-classical music traveling when I can and learning languages.

Working in Montreal possibly doing another masterclass and visiting family in Chicago.

What is there about you that you think people might be surprised to know? / Y a-t-il quelque chose à votre propos qui est un peu surprenant ou hors de l’ordinaire?
My dad started teaching me how to drive from the age of 13. We even did a road trip to Wyoming where I drove half-way. I still can't believe he let me.
