We are saddened to learn of the passing of Bass Trombonist Murray Crewe. While he is known for his 20+ year career with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Murray was also a distinguished NYO alum having played with the orchestra in 1983 and 1984.Born in Regina, Murray's beginnings in music started by playing piano at the age of 5 before moving to the tuba at 12 and then the trombone at 15.
