Andrew Kwan is Director of Andrew Kwan Artists Management Inc. (AKAM). Founded in 1991, AKAM specializes in career development and management for many of Canada’s most established classical musicians. Mr. Kwan has been awarded the 2014 CAPACOA Agent of the Year, 2013 Ontario Contact Agent of the Year, 2011 BC Touring Council Agent of the Year and his roster includes such artists as Anagnoson & Kinton, Jane Coop, Cameron Crozman, Lucille Chung, Gryphon Trio, and Philip Chiu, to name a few.

Mr. Kwan has been advisor for government arts councils and is often invited to jury grant programs and music competitions. He presents seminars and workshops across the country and in 2015, was commissioned by Debut Atlantic to author a book, titled – 15 Minutes and Counting: A Guide to Showcasing Successfully. He also advised and contributed to The Canada Council’s online publication artsontour.ca. He is currently on the board of Prairie Debut, Axis Music, and was ex-Chair of both Program Development and Program Advisory Committees for Centennial College’s Music Industry and Arts Program. He is on faculty at The Glenn Gould School, and graduate lecturer at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music for topics of career development, communication, and the business of music. Mr. Kwan holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics as well as a Non-Profit Management & Leadership Diploma, both from York University. In music, he holds an ARCT in piano performance from The Royal Conservatory and both Licentiate (LTCL) and Fellowship (FTCL) from Trinity College, London, England.
