NYOC receives Juno nomination!

Mar 3, 2010

For the first time in its history, the National Youth Orchestra of Canada has been nominated for a Juno award!  Announced this morning, our album Selections from the 2009 National Tour has been nominated in the Classical Album of the Year: Large Ensemble category.  Also, Rob Teehan has been nominated in the category of Classical Composition of the Year for his NYOC commissioned work Dreams of Flying.  Check out the nominees at: http://junoawards.ca/nominees.

Be sure to tune in for the results on April 18, 2010, but without sounding cliché, it’s an honour just to be nominated!
