Why did you choose your instrument / Pourquoi avez-vous choisi cet instrument ?
I wanted to be a rock star when I grew up and I was getting pretty good at playing my toy keyboard. It was a matter of putting two and two together.

What are your professional goals? / Décrivez quelques-unes de vos ambitions professionnelles.
Now I think I'd like to be a social entrepreneur.

How do you feel you will benefit from participation in NYO Canada? / Comment pensez-vous que votre participation à NYO Canada puisse vous aider?
I love playing music with other people and learning from musicians who are not pianists... In that way playing orchestral piano adds a lot of depth to my thinking about solo piano. I've also been known to like writing programme notes.

What are your interests outside classical music / Avez-vous d’autres intérêts à part la musique classique ?
I love kids and I co-host a radio show on the McGill community station. I'm also an active pilot.

Every summer on my birthday I run my age in kilometers.

I once walked out of my room at Delaware Hall while peeling a banana I'd brought up from the cafeteria. At that very instant three other musicians ALSO walked out of adjacent rooms... ALL HOLDING BANANAS! It was the funniest thing!
