5. Why did you choose your instrument / Pourquoi avez-vous choisi cet instrument ?
I was always taken by the drum set when I attended high school music concerts that my older sisters were involved in.

I aspire to play professionally within many different genres including orchestras chamber music theatre/opera and percussion ensemble. I also would like to teach at the post-secondary level.

9. How do you feel you will benefit from participation in the NYOC? / Comment pensez-vous que votre participation à lONJC puisse vous aider?
A chance to play standard literature that has many excerpts in it will help to drill into my hands and ears the music. This will help my execution of the excerpts.

I didn't take private lessons until I reached college.

There are too many....do I have to pick one? Ok. The Juno nomination? Or Maestro Davis? Or West Side Story? Or winning a scholarship? Maybe my first ever concert. Pictures at an Exhibition. Maestro Talmi. Oh wait! I got it. Hammer in Mahler 6. =)
