01. How old were you when you started playing your instrument?/ Quel âge aviez-vous quand vous avez commencé à jouer votre instrument ?
4 years old

02. Why did you choose your instrument?/ Pourquoi avez-vous choisi cet instrument ?
My parents had all of my siblings and I start in music when we were quite young. I don't remember whether or not I had any say in playing the cello, I think my parents got the idea after they found out that a cello teacher lived only a couple houses down from us! After playing for such a long time, I am very glad that my parents started me on the cello, as all other instruments are inferior.

03. Describe some of your professional goals./Décrivez quelques-unes de vos ambitions professionnelles.
As I do not currently study music at the university level, my current goal is to keep cello as a large part of my life. This is one of the reasons why I have played in the NYOC for the past 3 years. I have not ruled out music in my life, and look forward to potentially taking music classes at the University of Alberta next semester.

Science is one of my biggest interests, and is my current area of study at the university level. I am pursuing a Bachelors of Science and love all topics related to science. I also enjoy reading and enjoy nothing more than watching movies.

11. What do you think is the biggest challenge you face in your pursuit of a career in music?/ Quel est le plus grand obstacle à surmonter afin de poursuivre une carrière en musique ?

The first time I was accepted into NYO Canada (2014) was a very proud moment for me. Being accepted into NYO Canada was one of the biggest musical achievements I had accomplished at that time!
