How old were you when you started playing your instrument? / Quel âge aviez-vous quand vous avez commencé à jouer votre instrument ?
4 years old

Why did you choose your instrument / Pourquoi avez-vous choisi cet instrument ?
At age 4 I wasn't making too many life choices for myself and the instrument I got to play was not up to me! If it had been I would have ended up becoming a wicked guitar player and going on tour with my own band this summer instead of attending NYO! I do remember being pretty grumpy when my Dad came home with a tiny violin for me... but over the years I came to realize what a wonderful gift I was given that day love the way it has shaped my life and wouldn't trade it in for anything else!

What are your professional goals? / Décrivez quelques-unes de vos ambitions professionnelles.
I want to become an orchestral conductor! and would also love to conduct opera if I am able. This goal is what drove me into music school and keeps me working hard in all my studies. However I do love playing the violin a lot! And so I may find myself having to spend a good few years in a professional orchestra or opera orchestra after I graduate before devoting all my energies to directing.

What made you decide to pursue classical music? / Pourquoi avez-vous choisi une formation en musique classique ?
